UAC County Research Center

For more than a century, the Utah Association of Counties (UAC) has been the unifying voice for Utah’s 29 counties by advocating for sound policy, advancing innovation, and providing training and resources that strengthen local government. UAC helps counties remain strong, effective, and united in serving the people of Utah.

Turning research into impact for Utah’s 29 Counties!
The UAC County Research Center will serve as a hub for data, research, and storytelling about Utah’s 29 counties. This resource is being developed to highlight the vital role counties play in shaping our state, while providing tools that help leaders and residents understand local government more deeply.
Start exploring a county:
Through future enhancements, the Research Center will:
  • Share data dashboards that track county trends in areas such as population growth, budgets, public safety, health, and economic development.
  • Provide issue briefs and reports that explain the challenges and opportunities facing counties today.
  • Tell the story of counties through both data and narrative, connecting number to the people and communities they represent.
  • Serve as a trusted source of research and analysis to guide decision-making at the county and state level.
Coming Soon: The Research Center is a long-term initiative that will grow over time. Our goal is to give county leaders, policymakers, and the public meaningful insight into how counties serve Utah residents — and why counties matter.
