Policy Steering Committees

UAC policy positions and priorities are established under the direction of our elected county members through Policy Steering Committees:
Community Development
The Community Development Policy Steering Committee will address growth, housing, economic development, land use, telecommunications, technology, and transportation.
The committee will consider updates from Land Use Task Force and coordinate with the Wasatch Front Regional Council, UTA, and other stakeholders.

Criminal Justice and Public Safety
The Criminal Justice and Public Safety Policy Steering Committee will discuss criminal justice and public safety systems, including planning, criminal justice coordinating councils, law enforcement, courts, corrections, community crime prevention, and emergency management.

Revenue and Taxation
The Revenue and Taxation Policy Steering Committee will review finance administration, tax reform, and revenue needs and sources.
They will discuss state policies with fiscal implications for counties such as funding for services and programs, budget processes, tax and revenue systems, unfunded mandates, and state-local fiscal relations.
