About UAC

Who We Are
The Utah Association of Counties (UAC) is a voluntary, statewide, non-profit organization whose members are the 29 counties of Utah. Founded in 1924, the UAC was created by county officials with a clear mission: to strengthen county government and improve the well-being of Utah’s citizens. For over a century, UAC has been the trusted voice and resource for Utah’s 29 counties.
What We Do
UAC exists to ensure counties remain strong, effective, and connected. Our work centers on:
  • Forum — Providing a platform for county leaders to share ideas, training and technical assistance.
  • Legislation — Advocating for state and federal policies that protect and advance county interests.
  • Representation — Serving as the unified voice of Utah counties before policymakers and agencies.
  • Sponsorship — Hosting conventions, meeting, and seminars to foster collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Programs and Services — Delivering programs and services that provide resources to support counties and their residents statewide.
Why UAC Matters
UAC is dedicated to effective county governance, providing expertise, advocacy, and practical solutions so that every county has the resources and tools needed to serve its residents. By working together, Utah’s counties build stronger communities and a stronger state.
